Compact machine for electroplating which reduces the footprint of the working area by keeping everything needed to do the job neatly in one place. Features air agitation, plating tanks x3 and a heating system.
This set-up is ideal for platinum plating on rings and small jewellery parts and includes 50ml G.S.P Platinum Plating Solution, 50ml G.S.P Palladium Solution and 250ml G.S.P Electrocleaner. The inclusion of our G.S.P Palladium Plating Solution allows you to plate the platinum over silver, preventing problems with migration/diffusion.
Unlike other platinum plating solutions which commonly plate to a grey tone, our platinum has been formulated to bring the same bright-white luminosity as rhodium but at a more cost-effective price. Take a look at the composite photograph above which demonstrates how little difference there is between the two finishes.
With the addition of our G.S.P Brush Plating Probe / Pen Plating Wand (not supplied), this machine can also perform the function of brush plating and pen plating.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which metals can I plate over with this kit?
With the solutions that are included in this kit, the following metals can be plated over in a platinum finish: 9k gold, 14k gold, 18k gold, 22k gold, 24k gold, rose gold, white gold, rhodium, platinum (replating a previously platinum plated piece to freshen up with a new layer), palladium, silver.
If you would like to use the kit to plate platinum over other metals such as stainless steel, copper, brass or others, you will require the use of some additonal chemcials, these can be added to expand your kit, please enquire for details.
Please note: when determining whether a certain metal can be plated with the kit, please pay attention to the metal at the surface of the jewellery. For example, a piece might be originally made from stainless steel but if it has been plated in a layer of silver or gold, or any other metal, the metal at the surface will determine how it is plated. If the surface metal was to be silver for example, you are plating over silver not stainless steel. Please contact us if you are unsure and we will be happy to advise you.

What is the maximum amp output of the supplied plating machine?
2 amps
Please note that this machine comes with a UK plug - to use in the US or other countries, all that is required is a plug converter - this will convert a UK 3 pin plug into a standard 2 pin mains plug. These are inexpensive and available in hardware stores / online. Your converter does NOT need to be a step up/step down adapter, just a regular converter that can be purchased, to take the US as an example, for around $8.
