G.S.P Brush Plating Probe (with nibs) - Pack of 3
The G.S.P Brush Plating Probe is unique to Gold Solutions Plating and acts as both a brush plating and pen plating wand. When swabbing* is applied, no bare metal on the probe is left exposed, which protects you, your equipment, and the item which you are plating, from shorting. If you wish to do pen plating, all you need to do is plug your positive lead into the bare end of the probe, and insert the pen plating nib into the insulated end, to form an ideal pen plating wand.
Our G.S.P Brush Plating Probe is reliable, simple to use, easy to maintain and is made from the highest quality, industrial grade 316 Stainless Steel. In this set, you are supplied with 3 x probes and 120 pen plating nibs. This product is suitable for use with all plating solutions except for our G.S.P Tank Gold.
*Swabbing sold separately.
Overview of use
Instructions for use:
For pen plating, ensure that the bare end of the probe is fully dried (including the inside). Insert your red plating lead (positive) into this bare end. Take a plating nib and roll between finger and thumb whilst squeezing to reduce the diameter on one end. Insert the nib into the insulated end of your probe. When using the pen, make sure that you let the nib soak in the solution for 10 seconds before initial use. Do not use any single nib in more than one solution. When you remove the nib, make sure that you clean and dry the inside of the insulated end of the probe.
For brush plating, insert your red plating lead (positive) into the insulated end of the probe. Wrap swabbing around the bare end of the probe. When brushing ensure that you move the probe at no less than 3 swipes per second.
