A new addition to the range, our G.S.P Hobby Series Nickel Plating Solution has been specially formulated to provide a safer alternative to traditional nickel plating methods, making it ideal for hobbyists and those who do not require professional-grade equipment. This solution is suitable for a broad range of users seeking to achieve a bright nickel finish on their projects.

The Nickel Plating Solution is not only versatile in delivering a brilliant finish, but it is also effective for plating over metals such as copper, brass, bronze, and silver. These base metals tend to diffuse through the top plate e.g. gold, resulting in visible discolouration. However, by applying a barrier layer of nickel, the chosen finish is preserved, maintaining its shine and preventing the risk of unwanted colour changes.

For best results, users can either tank plate using our Nickel Anodes or opt for brush plating using our G.S.P Brush Plating Probes. These methods ensure optimum performance and a high-quality nickel finish.

Please note: Nickel cannot be used as a barrier plate on items that will be close to the skin, as it is known to cause skin allergies.

For jewellery items, we recommend using our G.S.P Palladium Solution instead. For pen, brush and tank plating see: G.S.P Palladium Plating Solution. For purely tank plating applications, see: G.S.P Palladium Plating Solution (Tank Plating Only) 1 Litre.
