Delivery - UK and International

 

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is calculated automatically based on your basket content. Simply add the products you would like to purchase to your basket and enter or select your delivery address. The correct delivery charge will be automatically calculated. As you add or remove items from your basket, the delivery charge will update.

 

Delivery is charged based on order value and is set at the following rates for the UK with the following estimated delivery timeframes:

 

Order value up to £16.00 is £5.00 and is sent via Royal Mail 1st class (not signed for)

Order value £16.01-£28.98 is £6.00 and is sent via Royal Mail 1st class (not signed for)

Order value £28.99 to £100.00 is £8.00 and is sent via DHL 24hr delivery

Order value £100.01 to £500.00 is £9.00 and is sent via DHL 24hr delivery

Order value £500.01 to £800.00 is £12.00 and is sent via DHL 24hr delivery

Order value £800.01 to £2000.00 is £27.00 and is sent via DHL 24hr delivery

Order value £2000.01 to £5000.00 is £52.00 and is sent via DHL 24hr delivery

 

Working days are Monday to Friday. We do not deliver on bank holidays. Deliveries are not usually made on weekends, please contact us after ordering to upgrade to Saturday delivery if required, additional charge will apply. Saturday delivery is not always available, please check first.


Please note:

*Deliveries can occasionally be made outside these times due to unforeseen circumstances.

*We may sometimes ship certain products via a different delivery company that adheres to the same estimated delivery timeframes as quoted above.

 *Items shipped via DHL 24hr delivery normally arrive the next working day after dispatch but this is not a guarantee and occasional delays may occur outside of our control.

 

Delivery charges are quoted excluding VAT.

 

 

Can you deliver to my area?

Gold Solutions Plating accepts orders for delivery to UK and international addresses. Our website can process both UK and international orders.

 

 

My town/region/county isn't in the drop-down list when I try to enter my delivery address - what should I do?

We have recently become aware that a small number of areas (UK and overseas) are not appearing in the drop-down list when customers are trying to place an order, preventing the completion of the purchase. One of these areas is Cumbria in the UK. We are working to solve this and apologise for any inconvenience.

 

In the meantime, if you are unable to enter your full address and this prevents you from placing your order, we kindly ask that you contact us: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so that we can send you an invoice via email for the product/s with a link to click to take you through to payment. An invoice can be sent for credit/debit card payments or for payment via PayPal. Payment via the link is a very quick, simple, and secure process that will enable you to order whilst we are working on making the necessary adjustments to the drop-down list.

 

 

Do you deliver overseas?

Yes - we offer worldwide shipping and are also able to continue to ship to EU countries post-Brexit. There are a small number of products that may not be applicable for shipping to certain countries/territories, please enquire for details. 

 

When shipping to EU countries, we can no longer use Royal Mail and instead use a courier. 

 

If paying by bank transfer, international orders will incur a surcharge of £2.00 on orders up to the value of £99.99 and a surcharge of £7.00 applies to orders £100.00 and over.

 

Funds received by international bank transfer typically take 3-5 working days to clear, after which the order can be dispatched. Money sent by international bank transfer must be GBP only at the point of sending - please select GBP when making a payment. Paying by native currency will create a deficit in the amount we receive due to exchange rates, and the customer will need to pay the difference. This will cause delays in dispatch as we wait for clearance of the new payment.

 

Please be aware that for international transactions the recipient will be liable for any duties and taxes incurred upon delivery. Please see your government website for information on any applicable customs thresholds and duty rates.

 

 

How should international customers place an order?

Simply add the items you would like to purchase to your cart and progress to the checkout. At the checkout, you can enter your country, region, and postal code to view the shipping costs before placing your order. 

 

As some international destinations have been recently added as new additions to our website, please do not hesitate to contact us if you encounter any problems placing an order and we will quickly resolve the issue. Additionally, if your country is not included on our list of destinations, this does not necessarily mean we cannot ship products to you - please contact us via email and we can advise you accordingly: This email address is being protected from spambots. As stated above, the price charged for shipping international orders does NOT cover any duties and taxes which may be incurred upon delivery and these are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please see your government website for information on any applicable customs thresholds and duty rates.

 

 

How long does international shipping take?

This is variable by location and whilst delivery often takes place sooner, we ask you to allow a minimum of 10 working days after dispatch before your order will arrive for most destinations. If you would like a specific delivery estimate for your location, please contact us and we can advise you. Please be aware that estimates are not a guarantee and that delays do occasionally occur outside of our control. For this reason and to avoid disappointment, we suggest placing an order in good time, taking into account the potential for an unforeseen delay.

 

We do offer expedited shipping to some destinations, if this is something that you require, please contact us before placing your order as there is currently no option to select this when ordering through the website. This service will incur an additional fee and is not available for all destinations, but we will do our best to accommodate your request where possible.

 

 

Are international customers charged duty upon delivery?

In most cases yes. We do not charge duty to international customers at the point of sale. Duty is collected before or upon delivery of your goods by the courier company, who will be in contact to advise any fees due. It is the reponsibility of the buyer to ensure that they have checked the duty rates applicable for their country before commiting to placing an order. Duty rates vary widely across the world. Some countries do not apply duty until an order is over a certain value, and some countries have varying duty rates depending on the type of goods purchased. Please check carefully what applies to you. Information on duty rates can usually be found on the goverment website of each country. We have no control over duty charges and cannot predict their amount.

 

If orders are dispatched internationally and are refused by the recipient as they do not want to pay the duty, or for any other reason, we reserve the right to apply an appropriate administration fee. This is set at £5.00 for orders with a value of up to £300.00 and £10.00 for orders with a value of over £300.00. This will be deducted from any refund given along with the original shipping charges, which will also be deducted from your refund. Refunds are not granted on refused goods until the goods arrive back on Gold Solutions Plating premises. Please note that refused goods are not given international priority shipping so may take weeks, sometimes months, to arrive back to us.

 

Please note: Very occasionally when goods that have been sent internationally are refused and returned to us, we are charged full or partial return shipping costs by the courier. If this happens, we reserve the right to deduct these charges from any refunds issued to the customer. This will be in addition to the deduction of original shipping fee and administration fee of £5.00 for orders with a value of up to £300.00 and £10.00 for orders with a value of over £300.00.

 

To avoid this, please check you are happy with the duty rates that will apply to your order before purchasing.

 

 

Which payment methods do you accept when placing an order?

Our website accepts payment by all major credit and debit cards and via PayPal.

 

We can also accept payment by bank transfer. If you would like to pay by bank transfer, pleasee mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with details of the products you would like to purchase. We will then provide instructions for paying by bank transfer.

 

Please note: with international bank transfers, a surcharge of £2.00 will apply to orders up to the value of £99.99 and a surcharge of £7.00 will apply to orders £100.00 and over. Please pay in GBP only.

 

Bank transfers from the UK do not include a surcharge.

 

 

How will Gold Solutions Plating deliver my order?

We use a national carrier to deliver goods.
Please note: deliveries will only be made to the ground floor entrance point of your building or a loading bay.

 

 

Bank holiday delivery information

No deliveries will be made on bank holidays.

 

 

How soon will Gold Solutions Plating dispatch my order?

The items offered for sale on this site are stock lines. Under normal circumstances, they will always be in stock and available for dispatch within 1-4 working days after payment is received. Please note: we consider the cut-off point for each calendar date to be midday, payments received after midday will count as the next calendar date.

 

We do offer a few special-order products with a longer lead time and this is indicated on the specific product information pages.

 

Occasionally, if certain products are in high demand, there may temporarily be a slightly increased dispatch time above the standard 1-4 working days. This will always be indicated on the specific product information page.

 

After purchasing directly through the website, you should always receive a confirmation email with your Order ID and details of your order including estimated dispatch times - occasionally due to individual email settings, this may be delivered to your junk folder or may be undeliverable. Please contact us if you do not receive confirmation and we will resend it to you.

 

If we put together a bespoke order for you, we will always provide a quotation in the first instance and will advise an estimated dispatch date which under normal circumstances, will be adhered to.

 

 

Can I leave special delivery instructions?

You are welcome to leave special instructions for delivery in the notes section when placing your order and these will be passed on to the delivery company. Alternatively, you can liase with the delivery company independently after receiving your tracking number. Please be aware that Gold Solutions Plating cannot accept responsibility if you fail to recieve your parcel after you have instructed the delivery company to leave it in a different location, e.g. with a neighbour, in a shed, garage, in a safe place etc.

 

 

How will my order be packaged?

Your order will be packaged securely in order to protect the contents in transit. Larger orders may consist of multiple boxes. We don't use branded boxes or fancy packaging even with our premium products, in order to keep costs down for our customers. We try to repurpose boxes where we can to cut down on waste and make an effort to avoid surplus packaging where possible, whilst still protecting the contents of your order. Despite our best efforts, unfortunately, items do get damaged in transit on occasion, if this happens, please contact us via phone or email so that we can quickly rectify the problem.

 

 

Can I collect my order?

Gold Solutions Plating is an online store, and your order will be delivered to your door throughout all of the UK. If you would like to collect your order directly from our premises, this will be by appointment. Please contact us to arrange collection.

 

 

I haven't received my order confirmation - what should I do?

Your order confirmation should be sent automatically to the email address you have provided and should be sent shortly after you have placed your order. Occasionally, due to individual email settings, this may be sent to your junk folder or may even be blocked from delivery to your inbox. If you do not receive your confirmation within a few hours of placing the order, please contact us and we will resend it to you.

 

 

I need to make a change to my delivery address - what should I do?

Please take care to enter the correct delivery address and check the details on your order confirmation email to ensure everything is correct. If you've made an input error or need to change the delivery address, this will only be possible before the order is processed - this could be a matter of hours or a few days depending on what you have ordered and the lead time for that product. Please get in touch via email with the correct delivery address in full as soon as you realize the error so that we can correct it.

 

 

If I order multiple products will they be shipped together or as a split delivery?

Multiple items ordered together will be shipped together. This means that if you order stock items alongside a special order item with a longer lead time, the whole order will be held until the item with the longest lead time is available and ready to ship. If you are in a particular hurry for one of the stock items on your order then please consider ordering this item separately from any special order products. Alternatively, you can contact us to arrange split delivery, additional shipping fee will apply.
