If this applies to a certain product, it demarcated in red type at the end of the product description page, along with a prompt for the purchaser to read the Technical Specs section of the page for further information. Please ensure that you read all information before buying a Professional Use only product, and only purchase if you can satisfy the requirements in full. Our policy relating to these products is detailed below.
What is classed as Professional / Business Use?
This is classed as the products being purchased for professional use e.g. research/universities, or business use. This may be small business use, the business does not need to be VAT registered in order to qualify. This includes businesses where the user works from home, providing they have a dedicated workspace which complies with all safety requirements of the solutions they wish to purchase. If you are not sure if you meet the criteria, please get in touch to ask.
If a product is not marked as Professional Use Only, it is suited to general public use. Please remember that these products may still carry hazard labels and therefore must be responsibly used, stored, and disposed of as instructed.
Professional Use Only products are not available to the general public.
Purchase and Delivery Restrictions
Professional Use Only solutions are strictly intended for use by professionals. Gold Solutions Plating, in accordance with its obligations as a supplier, enforces these restrictions to ensure that only authorised individuals or businesses can acquire and use this product.
A business name and address relevant to the use of these materials must be supplied in order to purchase. Regulated substances must be delivered to a business address and cannot be delivered to purely residential premises (if a business user works from home, we will ask that they confirm that their residential property is also a place of business). We will also not ship to Parcel Lockers or PO Boxes.
Verification Process
Customers purchasing restricted products will be contacted via email after sale or during the process of an enquiry and requested to complete a Professional Use Form. In addition, purchasers will be required to provide photo identification for the person buying on behalf of the business. We will only ask for the completion of the form and ID check once every 18 months per customer as per regulations.
Data will be processed and retained in line with GDPR policy and be stored on a secure server. Data will be retained for a minimum of 18 months as required by government regulations. Company Rights and Responsibilities
Gold Solutions Plating reserves the right to cancel any transaction without warning if the purchaser offers clear evidence that the product or goods purchased are in fact for general public use and/or cannot complete the required ID check.
Acknowledgement of Professional Use
By completing the sale, the purchaser confirms that the product will be used only in a professional capacity.
