G.S.P Portal Zinc Plating Kit
The G.S.P Portal Zinc Plating Kit is designed as a great accompaniment to any home garage. If restorative and decorative work is the order of the day, this kit does a great job of protecting screws, bolts, and other small functional features of motorcycles, bikes, cars, and boats, from corrosion due to weather conditions or age. We know that many vintage enthusiasts want to retain as many original parts as possible when completing restoration jobs, and the ability to do exactly that is what makes our Zinc Plating Kit a fantastic choice.
Popular with home hobbyists, the kit is beginner-friendly and comes with a step-by-step guide to brush plating and pen plating with zinc over a variety of metals such as stainless steel, nickel, brass, and copper.
Alternatively, the kit can also be used for a process we call “mini-tanking”. This is where small items, up to the size of a typical coin, can be individually tank-plated in the pots supplied. This is a great way to plate fiddly or more detailed parts, as it ensures complete coverage without needing to work by eye.
For entry-level plating on a budget, the kit comes with our economy 0.6A Portable Plating Plug for light use, along with our high-quality prep and plating solutions to get the job done.
