Our G.S.P Cutting Compound Polish contains heavy abrasion and is used for polishing up metals that are dull, prior to plating. It is also used after plating with certain solutions such as rose gold or rhodium, to remove or reduce any smutting that may happen on the surface because of high current. It can be mixed with G.S.P Gold Plating Polish at a ratio of 1:1, as an intermediate polish after plating these solutions, to bring out the final shine.
Please note: the G.S.P Cutting Compound Polish removes gold very easily, so should not be used on gold plated surfaces. To bring out the shine on gold plate, use our G.S.P Gold Plating Polish instead.

Additional notes:
Use sparingly on tissue paper and rub hard over the item. The polish is used to remove oxides and dull surfaces prior to plating. It is also used on rhodium, platinum and rose gold plate to remove dark areas, but sometimes it is best to mix this polish with our G.S.P Gold Polish in the ratio 1:1 to achieve this.
This product is not safe for use on gold plated surfaces.
